Roger Bassam is a Council candidate in the District of North Vancouver.

1. What type of bicycle riding do you do and how often?

I don't currently ride although I am considering returning to road cycling as alternative to the high impact sports I currently play.

2. What do you think your municipality has done well in cycling and where do you feel improvements are needed?

The ongoing process to ensure recreational access to our trail network for the Mountain bike community has been a positive process. We are very far behind in the development of safe commuter routes for cyclists.

3. Do you feel more money should be spent on cycling programs and what do you feel the priorities for spending should be?

I would like to see the commuter routes opened - road ends connected for cyclists. Perhaps a pedestrian / cycle overpass over the highway.
