Sam Schechter, City of North Vancouver, RespondsSam Schechter is a candidate for Council in the City of North Vancouver. 1. What type of bicycle riding do you do and how often? Unfortunately, about half the bicycling I do is on an exercise bike, but when I do get out doors, I enjoy cycling along the trails in North Vancouver, mostly for casual enjoyment and light exercise, but occasionally to work up a sweat as well. I would commute with my bicycle, but that would take an enormous amount of time, and so I rely on public transit instead.

What type of bicycle riding do you do and how often? For many years I was an avid bicyclist. I would ride almost everywhere including riding into the winter months with my hats and gloves on to fend off the cold. My personal interest in bicycling was sidelined once I was run over by a transport truck. (He was anxious to make a right turn.) I spent over a year recovering from the wheel crushing my leg.)
